Internal Job Description :
This position is responsible for the development and management of import operations within a branch location or region. Implements all established procedures relating to import activities. Maintains service performance levels and works within the international forwarding budget. Works with sales in the development of new business. Leads an operational team in accomplishing the company goals. This position will have direct responsibility for the success and growth of a specific market and develops strong internal and external relationships at all levels in order to be responsive to changing customer requirements. Leads the Import department in all operational disciplines and ensure operational excellence, high productivity and customer satisfaction.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for day-to-day operations relating to the handling of international freight.
2. Coordinate and prioritize the movement of import freight by service commitment and revenue gain.
3. Perform all required freight functions in support of overall SLI international requirements.
4. Stay abreast of advances and changes in the transportation and logistics industries as well as general business developments.
5. Ensure that team members have the necessary tools/resources to achieve assigned tasks in a quality/efficient manner.
6. Timely reporting and compliance with deadlines.
7. Monitor/Handle administrative functions, such as broker statistics and error/reject reports.
8. Prepare and send New Hire and termination letters to US Customs.
9. Prepare and maintain a Budget.
10. Send the annual statement to importers on optional duty payment method per 111.29 (b)USCR.
11. Current list of employee names, addresses and social security numbers submitted to US Customs.
12. Visit principal customers regularly and accompany sales staff on visits, when needed.
13. Responsible for the import accounts receivables. Ensure timely payment of all outstanding invoices due SLI. Work with accounts receivable department to avoid customer delinquency.
14. Pay annual user fee with copy of receipt to Customs & Import Compliance.
15. Monitor and update department staff and fellow department heads on market trends/requirements and rate changes.
16. Assure proper information flow with sales on changes and or problems with external customers.
17. Ensure proper training and education of the department staff. Foster cross training within the department.
18. Monitor workload of staff and adjust accordingly to ensure productivity goals are met.
19. Evaluate staff performance on a regular basis and annually evaluate based on KPI’s and metrics.
20. Interview new staff members and recommend candidates for hire to upper management.
21. Monitor traffic and cost budget compliance and advise management of any deviation.
22. Hold monthly meetings with department staff.
23. Display broker permit and license as required.
24. Monitor ABI statistics on a monthly basis and discuss reject ratio and reasons with department staff.
25. 20-25% travel required
Requirements1. Bachelor’s degree required. Major course of study in logistics, transportation, international or business preferred.
2. US Customs Broker License required.
3. 5-10 years of international transportation operation experience, and warehousing and air or ocean carrier experience desirable.
4. International travel experience and overseas business experience.
5. Comfortable working with individuals with difference languages and cultures.

We are a small, growing government contractor with an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior level Government Contracts professional to join our team in Bethesda, MD on a part-time basis (approximately 16 hours per week) potentially growing to full-time. This position is responsible for managing assigned contracts including preparation of cost/business proposals, monitoring and ensuring financial and deliverable requirements are met, managing internal/external contract activities to provide for proper contract/subcontract administration in accordance with company policies, legal requirements and customer specifications and providing data and support services for DCMA/DCAACAA inquiries. Responsibilities:
* Lead and conduct cost/business proposal preparation, contract negotiation and administration of assigned contract and subcontract agreements.
* Issue and negotiate, as necessary, Teaming Agreements (TAs) and Proprietary Information Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) on behalf of the Company. Act as the principle point of contact for TAs and NDAs from other companies and distribute for Executive Management review prior to signing on behalf of the Company.
* Prepare and submit for review cost proposals, analyze business ramifications associated with the RFP terms and conditions, as well as the FAR clauses contained, either explicitly or by reference, in the RFP, and ensure consistency with current business objectives.
* Maintain and manage contract files.
* Monitor overall contract financial performance against proposed estimated costs, proactively attempt to resolve issues, and report all results to upper management.
* Verify all Modifications and funding levels are correct and implemented timely.
* Prepare and send out subcontract modifications including, but not limited to, adding funds, realignment of funds, changing level of effort (hours), and adjusting fees.
* Ensure that contracts/task orders are realigned as required after completion (or before if necessary) in order to be able to realize all fee due to the Company. Provide notification of any excess funds to the Government for their recapture and potential reissuance to the company.
* Serve as point of contact for senior management concerning contract management and contract budget-related issues.
* Work closely with Accounting and Project Control personnel to ensure that invoices are submitted properly and that any funding issues are brought to the attention of Management.
* Work closely with Program Managers, Task Order Managers, and Division Directors by establishing routine, professional communications, whether verbally or in writing. Situations may involve remote interface situations that involve different time zones and different levels of participation.
* Participate in other finance or Business Development-related projects as assigned.
* Perform any and all other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time-to-time by the CEO.

Primary Duties
These positions support the Departments mission by providing professional and technical nursing expertise in conducting inspections and investigations for Medicare certified ambulatory surgery centers. Major duties include gathering evidence through interviews, document review and observation of operations; documenting, organizing and analyzing data for relevance; preparing final reports, including recommendation of licensure or certification. Also assists customers with inquiries regarding compliance or other issues and assists with procedural quality improvement process.

Cook County is currently looking for a Business Analyst (Budget Analyst II) to work in the JTDC Facility. Under the direction of the Business Manager, the Business Analyst (Budget Analyst II) performs a variety of accounting duties in the verification, maintenance, and reporting of accounts payables, inventory, and other accounting records, including payment tracking of funds paid to or encumbered for vendors associated with the JTDC. This position will also update the internal accounting system to ensure all vendor invoices and payments are accounted for.
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
Accounting
Manages and maintains vendor files and contract records and verifies payments to contracted vendors
Maintains chart of accounts, prepares journal entries for management review, and reviews payment voucher requests for accuracy
Assists with the year-end closing process and with the development and implementation of new business office procedures as needed
Budget Management/Analysis
Compiles data for budget development and monitors expenditures and appropriations related to budgets to ensure availability of funds; suggests fund transfers to management as needed
Monitors workflow timelines to meet required deadlines
Researches and analyzes discrepancies and prepares the appropriate correctional transactions for management’s review
Provides weekly reports to the Business Manager
Auditing
Examines accounting data for accuracy, appropriateness and documentation
Audits documents submitted for payment compliance with Cook County Board policies and state guidelines
Prepares and maintains the necessary audit trail documents as required by the Generally Accepted Auditing Standards
